The Canadair CL415 is a specialized amphibious firefighting aircraft sometimes nicknamed the Superscooper optimized for scooping water mid-flight. It is capable of collecting over 6,130 gallons ( 23,217 litres) of water from open water bodies without fully landing, then delivering it to forest fires especially in remote or rugged terrain.
