The Austin K2/Y ambulance was designed from a civilian truck platform, adapted during WWII to meet Army Medical Corps input. It had bench seats that could fold or convert (or were arranged) to act as twolevel beds.

Widely used in many theatres of mountain, desert, and European warfare throughout WWII, as well as on airfields, which makes it a flexible subject for dioramas.
